Arvada Harvest Festival Parade

The 25th Annual Harvest Festival Kids Parade took place at the McIlvoy Park Pavilion at Ralston Road and Upham Street on Saturday, September 8, starting at 3:30 PM.

The 2012 Arvada Harvest Festival and Parade theme was "Sports" in honor of the 2012 Summer Olympics, and the kids embraced the theme with enthusiasm and parade panache. Kid’s Parade categories included Sports Character, Decorated Pets, or Decorated Wheels. We had 22 cute costumed participants in the parade, plus the little Coors Credit Union train joined us and carried about 15 more little children (and a few "big" kids). Costumes and floats were inspired creations! Trophies were awarded to the 1st Place winner in each category, the Crowd Pleaser, and Best Overall. Ribbons and cash prizes were given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place winners in each category. All participants received treat bags with participant ribbons and certificates.

Sponsors for the Kid’s Parade were Northwest Metro BPW, Doris Stipech State Farm Insurance and Canty’s Financial Strategies generously sponsored the 2012 Kid’s Parade.
