Categories & Fees

All Science Fiction Entries are FREE!

 

Remember, the deadline for submitting parade applications is 5 PM, August 26, 2011.

There are fees, in addition to entry fees, for handing out items to spectators:  

Candy, Flags (no advertising message)--$0
Advertising, coupons, business cards, etc.--$100
Samples--$200

IN-KIND SPONSORS EXCLUDED FROM FEES

·   (FREE)      Clubs:  An association or group of people, who meet regularly with common interests or ideas. Examples are antique car clubs and modeling clubs.

·   (FREE)      Civic Clubs:  Volunteer clubs that give back to the community.
 
·   (FREE)      Scouts:  Examples include Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts.
 
·   (FREE)      Charities:  Organizations that are considered generally beneficial to the community. These organizations must be not-for-profit 501 c3 corporations.  A copy of your tax exemption form must be included with application.
 
·   (FREE)      Military:  Military units that have served, or any military organizations or clubs that wish to participate.
 
 ·   (FREE)      Academic School Group:  Institution whose purpose is academia. This includes both private and public schools.
 
·   (FREE)      Houses of Worship:  We encourage people and groups of all faiths to join in our parade to raise awareness of your organization. 
 
·   (FREE)      Arvada Municipal Operations:  Funded by tax dollars, these organizations (e.g. fire, police) are free due to in-kind considerations.

 

·   ($125)      Academic School Marching Band: School marching band or marching group.  (Non-competitive bands are FREE)


·   ($50)      Individual Entries:  Citizens who wish to participate in the parade are welcome to do so as individual entrants. It gives us great pleasure to allow participation from any number of our citizens to show off their entry ( i.e., tractors, unique cars etc. ). 
 
·   ($75)      Business (Single Location):  Businesses that have a single location of any size with one location.
 
·   ($125)      Business (Multiple Locations, Franchises, Etc.)  Any size business that operates from more than one location, or has more than one site, or is a franchise.
 

·   ($225)      Elected Officials:  Arvada City Council, City of Arvada, Arvada Fire, Arvada Police Department and Apex Parks and Recreation are FREE, due to in-kind considerations.

·   ($225)      Ballots:  Topics that voters will have an opportunity to vote on.
 
·   ($225)      Single Political Candidate:  A person running for office in an election. 
 
·   ($225)      Political Matters, Topics, Etc.:  A single topic is presented and or represented by the entry.
 
·   ($225)      Government:  Entities that are funded by tax dollars.  ( with the exception of Arvada municipal organizations )
